Olives and old pile of rocks 3

Hi,

I am so sorry I have not posted on my blog recently. Things have been complicated in Palestine but that's not an excuse. So I thought that I would talk about our recent trip.

So if you don't know Palestine is famous for olive oil and pickled olives, it is. We went to Jenin to go to the place where the olive oil comes from if you buy Palestinian olive oil in the United States of America or anywhere else in the world. The reason we went there was they were having the olive oil festival. At the festival there was food (kanafeh, taboleh, and mana'aeesh, not to mention vegetable platters and tea), dabka (a traditional Palestinian dance), speeches (no need to explain), and of course tours the factory.

But after the festival we went to another place it was a church.  The church was the 4th oldest church in the world. There was also an underground house there where Christians hid to get away from the Romans. And there was a odd room that had a odd story here it is. There was a boy (Saint George) who the teacher got mad at so he told the boy to not talk until he came back and the boy apologized. He locked the boy in a room while he took the other students on a field trip.  When they came back the students were puzzled by the boy not talking so he wrote what happened on a piece of paper and then apologized. The end.

I did want to point out that as we traveled we saw many settlements and settlers and many open checkpoints.  I know this is a not related to this blog post but I thought I might mention it.
